Vig Kannan has always been drawn to stories that explore mystery, crime, and the psychology behind human behaviour.

From an early age, he spent countless hours reading thriller novels and watching crime dramas — stories built on tension, investigation, and the quiet unravelling of truth.

That fascination with how and why people act the way they do gradually evolved into a desire to create his own stories. Residual is a reflection of that interest, combining elements of psychological intrigue, medical science, and suspense.

When he isn't writing, Vig continues to explore new stories across books, films, and shows, always drawn to narratives that challenge perception and keep audiences guessing.

Residual is his debut novel.
